That night it rained and it was still drizzling next morning when we set off for the Malpas Tunnel. No sitting on deck this morning! The Malpas Tunnel is 160m long and is one way so you need to sound your horn as you approach. Again there is a narrow walkway along the side once used by horses and their drivers.
